Economy news – VoiceOfGP

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the launch of the November 2026 round of its Inflation Expectations Survey of Households (IESH). According to the central bank, the survey aims to capture subjective assessments regarding price movements and inflation based on individual consumption baskets across 19 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata.

The survey collects qualitative responses on general and product-group price changes for the upcoming three months and one year, alongside quantitative responses on current and future inflation rates. The findings serve as useful inputs for monetary policy.

The RBI has engaged M/s Hansa Research Group Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, to conduct the survey. Selected households will be approached by the agency for their responses. Additionally, individuals not approached directly can participate by downloading the survey schedule and emailing it to the designated RBI address.

What it means

  • Selected households will be approached by the designated agency to provide their responses.
  • Other individuals not approached by the agency can also participate by filling out and emailing the survey schedule.
