Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal concluded a two-day official visit to the Netherlands on 26 October 2026. According to the Press Information Bureau, the visit aimed to expand bilateral economic cooperation, trade, and investment between Indian and Dutch enterprises.

During his visit, Shri Goyal met with senior Dutch government leaders, including Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Mr. Sjoerd Sjoerdsma and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy Ms. Heleen Herbert. The discussions covered expanded trade, resilient supply chains, and greater Dutch investment in India’s manufacturing, renewable energy, and digital technologies. He also co-chaired the India-Netherlands Business Forum alongside Mr. Sjoerdsma and visited the Port of Rotterdam.

The Minister additionally held meetings with executives from prominent Dutch companies such as ASML, Nexperia, Power2X, and Ingka Group, inviting businesses to invest, co-manufacture, and co-innovate in India. The engagements built on the Strategic Partnership announced during Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to the Netherlands in May 2026.
