The Union Ministry of Education has extended the last date for submitting applications under the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the 2026-27 academic year to November 15, 2026, according to an official release. The extension aims to give eligible students more time to apply on the National Scholarship Portal and help authorities complete timely verifications.
As per the revised schedule, Institute Nodal Officer (L1) verification must be completed by November 30, 2026, and District Nodal Officer (L2) verification by December 15, 2026. Students must complete their One-Time Registration on the portal before applying.
