The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment announced that the Shilp Samagam Mela 2026 will take place at Dilli Haat, INA, in New Delhi from November 1 to 15, 2026. The fortnight-long event is themed ‘प्रकाश और परंपरा – ज्योति से ज्योति जलाएँ’.
According to the Ministry, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities will jointly organize Shilp Utsav for the first time, featuring approximately 150 stalls under Bharat TULIP and Purple Fest. The Mela will include seven thematic zones: कला आँगन for live craft demonstrations, प्रकाश चौक for lamps and lights, पूजा पथ for devotional products, सजावट बाज़ार for home décor, घराना for textiles and fashion, स्वाद चौक for food, and मंच for cultural activities.
Ministry officials stated that the event aims to provide a platform for aspirational groups, communities, and persons with disabilities to showcase their traditional craftsmanship and market their products to a wider audience.
