Defence news – VoiceOfGP

Project Arunank of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated its 19th Raising Day at Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 24, 2026. The project marks nearly two decades of service in strengthening strategic infrastructure and connectivity across the region’s terrain.

Raised in 2008, the project develops and maintains border infrastructure through rugged mountains and difficult climates, enhancing the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces and improving mobility for remote communities. The project uses modern construction technologies, alternative materials, geocells, and slope-protection measures to improve infrastructure durability.

Project Arunank has also focused on worker welfare by providing improved shelters, protective clothing, sanitation, and medical camps. Additionally, it planted 25,815 trees under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and conducted community welfare and environmental activities.
