Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held bilateral talks with South Korea’s Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul on October 28, 2026, on the sidelines of the 13th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Cebu, Philippines.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the two ministers reviewed expanding bilateral defence cooperation and discussed opportunities to co-develop military technologies, boost joint defence industry collaborations, and strengthen maritime security. The leaders also deliberated on concrete pathways to promote regional security across the Indo-Pacific.
Rajnath Singh is leading the Indian delegation at the ADMM-Plus conference, held under the chairmanship of the Philippines from October 28 to 29, 2026. The forum serves as a regional security platform comprising ASEAN member states and eight dialogue partners, including India and South Korea.
