The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and public-sector lender Bank of India (BOI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance indigenous quantum technologies and emerging digital solutions for the banking sector.

Under the agreement, both entities will collaborate on joint research, proof-of-concept testing in secure sandbox environments, and capacity building. The partnership aims to build quantum-resistant and quantum-safe banking systems to address emerging cybersecurity threats and complex financial decision-making.

Beyond quantum computing, the initiative will cover artificial intelligence, blockchain, and high-performance computing. Potential applications include fraud analytics, credit assessment, automated document processing, smart contracts, and secure data sharing, alongside training programmes to develop technical talent.
