According to the Press Information Bureau, the Union Minister for Railways and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh will inaugurate the Satna–Devendra Nagar (53 km) and Rewa–Churhat (65 km) rail sections. A new Devendra Nagar–Churhat train service will also be flagged off during the event. This development connects the Sidhi district to the country’s rail network for the first time since Independence.
Developed under the Lalitpur–Singrauli New Rail Line Project, the new routes aim to improve passenger movement and freight transportation across the Vindhya region. Officials stated that the expansion will support local trade, industry, and tourism by improving access to the area’s mineral reserves, educational institutions, and cultural attractions.
