SEBI sets up working group to review Innovators Growth Platform

Markets news – VoiceOfGP

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has formed a working group to conduct a comprehensive review of the regulatory framework governing the Innovators Growth Platform (IGP) under the SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018. According to the regulator, the move comes as the start-up and innovation ecosystem has evolved significantly with enterprises in areas such as deep-tech, biotechnology, semiconductors, and space.

The working group will examine the suitability of the IGP framework for research-stage, pre-revenue, and technology-intensive enterprises, alongside reviewing investor eligibility, listing requirements, capital raising, post-listing obligations, and migration rules to the main board. The panel will also benchmark the framework against international standards for innovative companies and recommend necessary regulatory amendments to SEBI.

What it means

  • The working group will review the existing regulatory framework governing IGP, including eligibility and listing requirements.
